Hugging Face is hiring for a role on the Xet Storage team focused on designing, building, and operating low-level, high-performance storage backend features and open-source systems software in Rust, with additional work across Python, TypeScript, Go, and C++. The role supports the underlying storage architecture for the Hugging Face platform at massive scale and operates in a fully remote, async, high-trust environment. The position seeks a highly experienced engineer with deep distributed systems or infrastructure experience, a strong systems programming background, and familiarity with production operations, cloud infrastructure, databases, networking, or git internals.
