Description
The Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical or electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include installing and terminating CAT and fiber-optic cable, conducting service calls and overseeing projects, testing copper and fiber cables, reading blueprints, operating power tools, and assisting licensed electricians. The role requires physical work in varying weather and confined spaces, travel, night or weekend work, and the ability to train apprentices. An associate degree or equivalent, or related experience and training, is required.
