The full-time Correctional Facility Nurse works at Gadsden Correctional Facility in Quincy, Florida, under the direction of a health services administrator. Responsibilities include assessing sick-call detainees, prescribing treatment, administering medications, maintaining medical records, conducting chart reviews, monitoring serious health conditions, complying with pharmacy and HIPAA requirements, and performing emergency rescue and evacuation functions.
