Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides clinical support and patient care in a clinic setting under the supervision of medical staff. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, rooming patients, obtaining health histories, documenting in the electronic medical record, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing point-of-care testing, collecting specimens, coordinating nursing care, supporting triage, educating patients, and handling administrative and referral functions. The role requires completion of a state-approved practical nursing program, a current Louisiana LPN license, 3–5 years of primary care experience in a clinical setting, and current Basic Life Support certification.
