Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides clinical support and patient care under the supervision of nurse managers, RN case managers, RN team leads, and providers. Responsibilities include patient relations, rooming and interviewing patients, obtaining and recording vital signs, administering medications, performing point-of-care laboratory tests, planning nursing care, providing preventive and medication education, maintaining patient records, coordinating appointments and referrals, and following infection-control and safety procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a current Louisiana LPN license, three to five years of primary-care clinical experience, and current Basic Life Support certification.
