Aptiv is hiring an LWIR Thermal Imaging Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, characterize, and validate uncooled microbolometer-based thermal imaging systems. The role covers thermal camera performance metrics, sensor and optics integration, laboratory and environmental testing, radiometric calibration, image quality analysis, and collaboration with mechanical, electrical, software, and algorithm teams. Candidates need experience with LWIR systems, thermal imaging fundamentals, sensor characterization, optical materials, validation plans, and ray-trace software, along with a master's degree in a relevant field.
