Description
The M5 Machinist is a senior skilled-trades role responsible for independently setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture complex precision components. The role interprets engineering drawings and GD&T, selects tooling and machining parameters, troubleshoots CNC programs, performs precision inspections, resolves process issues, supports junior machinists, and contributes to quality, safety, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, Journeyperson Machinist certification or equivalent experience, significant machining experience, and expertise in machining processes, tooling, materials, tolerances, and precision measurement.
