The Machine Builder assembles machined and purchased components into custom machinery and equipment using blueprints, schematics, job instructions, and specifications. The role involves fitting, aligning, adjusting, wiring, welding, fabrication, heavy rigging, precision measurement, troubleshooting, and safe operation of shop equipment. It requires at least five years of machine-building or related mechanical assembly experience, strong mechanical and precision-measurement skills, and the ability to work independently, support production schedules, and provide technical assistance to team members.
