Description
The Machine Design Engineer will provide engineering support for the design, analysis, construction, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems for the NSLS-II Accelerator Division, including storage-ring magnets, front-end systems, and utility systems such as deionized water, chilled and hot water, compressed air, and HVAC. The role manages projects through the full lifecycle, coordinates engineers and contractors, supports accelerator operations, and develops procedures for system reliability and field certification. A BS in mechanical engineering and at least three years of related experience are required; the full salary range is $100,600 to $146,975 per year.
