Layer Health is hiring an ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning software systems for healthcare, translating LLM research into production, working with structured and unstructured clinical data, and building observability, monitoring, logging, and error-handling capabilities. The role requires 5–7+ years of backend and cloud platform software development experience, fluency in Python, Golang, Rust, or Java, familiarity with modern ML/LLM techniques, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. The position is based in the Boston or New York City office, with engineers expected to meet regularly in person.
