Description
Orbital Industries is hiring a Machine Learning Research Engineer to architect and deploy AI systems for multi-scale physical technology design, including foundation models for atomic and macroscopic simulations, computational chemistry, agentic workflows, and production-ready machine learning systems. The role combines research, software engineering, model training and evaluation, system architecture, and deployment, with a focus on high-quality code, scalable systems, and novel scientific machine learning. Prior chemistry or materials experience is not required, but significant software engineering and machine learning experience, strong algorithmic and systems-design reasoning, and the ability to debug complex ML systems are sought.
