Description

Tigera is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to own the machine-learning and applied-AI side of its AI agent security product. The role focuses on converting runtime telemetry into detections, risk scores, and behavioural baselines; building classification, anomaly-detection, and time-series models; using LLMs for function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation; and designing model deployment, versioning, and A/B testing systems. The position is based in Vancouver on a hybrid schedule and pays CAD 160,000 to CAD 180,000.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional machine-learning engineering experience
At least two years building and deploying production machine-learning systems
Experience with anomaly detection or time-series modelling in adjacent domains
Hands-on experience using LLMs for applied tasks beyond chatbots
Python and standard machine-learning ecosystem
Working with large-scale telemetry data
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in security, infrastructure, or systems-adjacent machine learning
Familiarity with eBPF, kernel telemetry, or low-level systems observability
Experience deploying machine-learning models in latency-sensitive paths
Open-source contributions to machine-learning tooling or applied AI projects
Experience with model versioning and machine-learning frameworks
