Description

3ap is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. This role involves translating business requirements into AI solutions, implementing and integrating ML algorithms, and owning the entire lifecycle of ML projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, solution architecture, and hands-on machine learning, particularly in agentic AI systems and generative AI/Large Language Model solutions.

Required Skills

German language at native-speaker level
English proficiency for negotiations
Very strong Python skills
experience building AI applications and backend services with frameworks such as FastAPI
or similar
Knowledge of software engineering and DevOps practices, including Docker, Git, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and building reliable production systems
An agile mindset and the ability to take the lead when needed
A technically curious mindset and willingness to share knowledge with colleagues

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7+ years of experience in software development & solution architecture
3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning
Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing machine learning models, including data analysis, feature engineering, and building ML-based applications.
Can demonstrate knowledge of ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Have experience building end-to-end ML pipelines—from data preparation and model training and evaluation to deployment.
Have experience with Kubernetes or large-scale, distributed infrastructures for AI workloads.
