Description
Coinbase is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer Intern for a 12-week summer 2027 internship on its Machine Learning team. The intern will develop, deploy, and operate production-scale machine learning models and pipelines, lead an end-to-end research project applying modern machine learning techniques to blockchain and crypto use cases, collaborate with senior engineers and product teams, and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders. The role requires a current Ph.D. candidate with relevant research, proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow, experience with supervised, unsupervised, or reinforcement learning, and familiarity with software engineering fundamentals and production-quality Python. The internship is remote-first with quarterly in-person surges and pays $60–$60 USD per hour.
