Description

Katalyst Data Management (KDM) is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer - OCR with strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with minimal supervision. This full-time position in Barra da Tijuca, Brazil, involves designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS and on-premises environments, leading migration efforts, and developing Terraform modules. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, 3+ years of experience in DevOps or similar roles, and expertise in Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role
Proven expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters on a scale, both in cloud and on-premises environments
Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and full cluster lifecycle management
Proficiency in Terraform for implementing Infrastructure as Code
Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and Git-based workflows
Deep understanding of Docker and containerized application architectures
Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, load balancing, ingress
Familiarity with observability tools and stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Open Telemetry
Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and deployment environments effectively
