Description
Coherent Corp. is seeking a Machine Learning Operations Contractor to develop, validate, and deploy AI/ML models for semiconductor laser design and manufacturing. The role focuses on improving yield, screening accuracy, and design optimization through data pipelines, supervised and unsupervised models, model selection, and scalable cloud and on-premises inference. The contractor will collaborate with photonics researchers and process engineers, document results, and provide regular project updates. The position is on-site, temporary for 6–12 months, and requires a relevant degree plus 2–5 years of industry experience, along with expertise in Python, C/C++, ML frameworks, high-performance inference, and MLOps platforms.
