Machine Learning Operations Contractor at Coherent UK

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Contractor for an on-site, 6–12 month temporary assignment supporting semiconductor laser design and manufacturing. The role focuses on building and improving production data pipelines, developing and validating supervised and unsupervised models for yield prediction and performance screening, integrating semiconductor laser physics into interpretable models, and deploying scalable ML inference across cloud and on-premises high-performance environments. The contractor will collaborate with photonics researchers and process engineers and is expected to have strong AI/ML deployment experience, proficiency in Python and C/C++, experience with major ML frameworks, high-performance inference technologies, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes, plus education and industry experience in a relevant technical field.
