Apple is hiring an ML Research Engineer for its Apple Services Engineering Search team to design and develop next-generation search and conversational discovery features. The role involves building and improving machine learning models for retrieval, ranking, query understanding, and document understanding; developing distributed backend systems; running A/B experiments; and deploying models through production. Candidates need a master's or doctoral degree in computer science or a related field, at least two years of relevant industry experience, knowledge of generative AI and large language models, and experience with machine learning frameworks.
