Apple’s Applied Machine Learning team is hiring a Software Engineer to build, scale, and maintain high-performance enterprise platforms supporting Search, Knowledge Graph, machine learning, and inference systems. The role focuses on availability, performance, latency, and high-throughput workloads across ML/KG/inference platforms, with responsibilities spanning Java development, distributed systems, search and relevance tuning, and generative AI technologies. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least 8 years of experience, strong Java and distributed-systems expertise, and hands-on experience with Solr, OpenSearch, or search relevance tuning.
