Description
SpaceX is hiring a Machine Maintenance Engineer, Tool and Die for its Bastrop Tool and Die shop. The role leads maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and repairing CNC, EDM, grinder, crane, and related capital equipment; performs root-cause analysis; leads reliability-centered maintenance and equipment-improvement projects; coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, automation, procurement, and third-party vendors; and develops spare-parts and preventative-maintenance programs. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least one year of hands-on manufacturing experience, with additional manufacturing troubleshooting, CNC/EDM, maintenance-management-system, and project-coordination experience preferred. The role involves physical work, extended hours, some weekends, and up to 10% travel, and requires ITAR-eligible status.
