Description
The Slitting Machine Operator sets up and operates slitting machines to cut film to specified widths, lengths, and diameters while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role includes installing and aligning blades, adjusting machine controls, threading feedstock, measuring roll dimensions, inspecting for defects, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and following production schedules and quality procedures. A high school diploma or GED is required, while one to three years of experience is preferred; the position also requires physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, stretching, or standing.
