Description
The Machine Operator assists the shift supervisor in processing customer orders and operating standup forklifts and overhead cranes in a metals distribution and fabrication environment. The role also includes inspecting cut-to-length parts with micrometers and calipers, staging and packaging materials, deburring parts, and communicating with supervisors and machinists. The position requires a high school education, 2–5 years of relevant experience, basic computer skills, and knowledge of measuring tools; technical training is preferred. The listed shifts are 1st Shift Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 2nd Shift Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., with starting pay of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
