Description
The Machine Operator operates fabricating machines such as saws, shears, rolls, and brakes to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures for tank-system manufacturing. The role includes reading blueprints, setting machine stops and guides, positioning workpieces, activating machines, inspecting and measuring work, removing burrs and scale, maintaining equipment, and following safety procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and blueprint-reading skills, measuring and hand-tool proficiency, problem-solving and teamwork abilities, forklift operation, and the ability to work in a loud, physically demanding manufacturing environment.
