Description
Vivaldis Construct Geel is hiring a Machine Operator to work on construction sites in Flanders, Belgium. The role involves operating a hydraulic railway excavator weighing up to 14 tonnes, performing earthworks and excavation alongside railway tracks, creating trenches and crossings, positioning ballast, and maintaining or renewing railway infrastructure. The operator is responsible for the machine, may assist with mini excavators or bulls, and works mainly during the day with occasional night and weekend work. The position requires construction or earthworks experience, a category B driving licence, Dutch fluency, and the ability to work independently and in a team; a railway excavator operator's licence and VCA certificate are advantageous. The role offers 40 hours per week, 12 ADV days, salary according to skills, and a possible permanent contract after an interim period.
