Description
The Fiber Optic Cabling Machine Operator sets up, runs, and monitors 36- to 64-inch cabling equipment used to manufacture fiber-optic cable. The role includes reading setup sheets, adjusting machines, respooling fillers, inspecting products, completing documentation, cleaning equipment, recognizing defects, and following safety procedures. It requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, basic math and handwriting ability, teamwork, attention to detail, and forklift operation. The schedule is 33 hours per week from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with some flexibility and overtime availability; night and weekend shifts receive a 10% shift differential, and full-time benefits are provided.
