Description
The Fiber Optic Cabling Machine Operator sets up, runs, and monitors 36- to 64-inch cabling equipment used to manufacture fiber-optic cable. The role reads setup sheets, adjusts machines, respools fillers, inspects products, completes documentation, cleans equipment, and responds to production problems. It requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, basic math and handwriting ability, teamwork, attention to detail, and forklift operation. The position works 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some schedule flexibility, overtime availability, and a 44-hour weekly schedule.
