Description
The Fiber Optic Cable Extrusion Operator sets up, runs, and continuously monitors a 1½-inch extrusion line used to manufacture fiber optic cable. The role includes reading setup sheets, adjusting machines, inspecting products, applying print, completing documentation, cleaning equipment, identifying defects, and following safety procedures. It requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The position is scheduled for 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some schedule flexibility, overtime availability, and a 44-hour weekly schedule.
