Description
The Extrusion Operator sets up, runs, and continuously monitors a 1¼-inch extrusion line used to manufacture fiber-optic cable. The role includes reading setup sheets, adjusting machines, inspecting products, completing documentation, cleaning equipment, identifying defects, and following safety procedures. It requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, quality-procedure knowledge, math and handwriting ability, teamwork, and attention to detail. The position works a regular 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday–Thursday schedule with some flexibility, overtime availability, and a 44-hour weekly schedule; night and weekend shifts receive a 10% shift differential.
