Description
The Extrusion Operator sets up, runs, and continuously monitors a 1¼-inch extrusion line used to manufacture fiber-optic cable. The role includes reading setup sheets, adjusting the machine, inspecting products, completing documentation, cleaning equipment, identifying defects, and following safety procedures. It requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The position is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with some schedule flexibility, overtime availability, and a 44-hour weekly schedule.
