The Press Operator controls and operates a printing press to produce multicolor copies from supplied proofs, monitors production speed and quality, prepares jobs and materials, completes documentation, relays tasks to the feeder operator, performs line clearance and ink-fountain cleanup, lubricates the press, and prepares the machine for the next shift. The role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, computer skills, physical ability to lift an average of 50 pounds, and the ability to stand for most of the workday; previous printing press experience is preferred, with Heidelberg or Komori experience considered a plus.
