Description
The Machined Parts Inspector visually examines and measures machined parts against blueprint specifications and workmanship standards, using precision instruments, gauges, layouts, and special testing equipment. The role includes complex setups, acceptance of vendor-made parts, development of inspection procedures, and supervision and instruction of lower-grade inspectors. It requires 36 months of machine shop practice or inspection experience, preferably in the aircraft industry, and involves ITAR-regulated information; applicants must be U.S. persons.
