Description
The Machine Technician 2 constructs, assembles, rebuilds, repairs, tests, and finishes moderately complex machines and equipment. The role includes analyzing blueprints, preparing parts, using hand and power tools, welding, operating forklifts and cranes, measuring components, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, prior Machine Technician 1 experience, the ability to obtain a forklift license and learn crane and man-lift operation, math and measurement skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
