Description
The Machinist operates and programs CNC and manual machine tools, including grinding and milling machines, to fabricate and repair precision parts. The role involves interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, applying GD&T, inspecting parts with precision measuring instruments, setting up fixtures and tools, adjusting machine feeds and offsets, performing preventative maintenance, operating overhead cranes, and maintaining production records. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, blueprint-reading ability, intermediate mathematical skills, critical thinking, teamwork, attention to detail, and basic computer skills; a trade school certificate or specialized machining education is preferred.
