Description
The Machinist (2nd Shift) sets up, programs, and operates precision machining equipment to produce components according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Responsibilities include reviewing job orders, selecting tooling and fixtures, setting feeds and speeds, operating CNC and automatic-positioning machines, programming with Mazatrol and Fanuc G-code, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires journeyman certification, apprenticeship completion, or 3 to 5 years of skilled machining experience, along with blueprint-reading, precision-measuring, and safe-crane-and-forklift-operation skills. Second-shift availability and overtime, including weekends, are required.
