Description
The 2nd-shift Machinist works in the Machining department to produce, repair, and evaluate parts and tooling to tight tolerances using manual machining equipment, measuring tools, drawings, and assembly prints. The role includes optimizing repeat jobs, applying PDCA, performing preventive maintenance and machine inspections, supporting urgent work, and completing basic welding and heat treatment when applicable. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, journeyman Machinist status or at least two years of relevant experience, and preferred trade certification, CAD/CAM skills, and PIV and crane qualifications.
