The Machine Shop Technician fabricates replacement and new metal parts, fixtures, tools, dies, and prototype equipment from drawings, CAD data, and instructions. The role operates lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, welding equipment, and CNC machines; uses precision measuring instruments; maintains work areas; and follows safety procedures. Applicants need an accredited journeyman apprenticeship or six years of machine tooling or tool-and-die-making experience, along with welding and machine-operation skills. The position pays $24.33 per hour initially and $25.95 per hour after one year, and includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
