Description

Sonaca North America is looking for a 2nd shift Machinist responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) and conventional machines to fabricate parts. The role involves loading parts, monitoring machine operation, detecting malfunctions, running production lots, communicating with coworkers, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The Machinist must adhere to quality policy and support company procedures.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Operate computer numerical control machines and conventional machines to fabricate parts.
Run production on CNC machining center.
Check, and monitor the parts that are being run.
Ability to read the basic dimensions and tolerances of a blueprint.
Ensure quality standards are being met.
Responsible to produce the proper amount of parts per machine cycle time.
Deburr and blend all parts that are machined.
Perform daily maintenance on machines including: maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, wiping down machine to remove coolant, dust and debris.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Paperwork is filled out properly, and maintained as necessary.
Always present and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications: Trade school for machining practices.
Basic math skills to perform calculations.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read measuring equipment like Calipers/Micrometers.
Ability to concentrate, focus, and maintain strict attention to detail.
