Machinist Trainee at Mid-State

The Machinist trainee is an entry-level, hands-on training role in a machine shop where the apprentice learns to operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines; perform precision machining; read technical drawings; use measuring instruments and hand tools; maintain equipment; and support production. The position is based at Mid-State’s main office in Lakeland, Florida, with travel to client and customer sites, variable evening and weekend work, and physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while machining vocational training is a plus, and some hand-tool experience is requested.
