Description
TEKsystems is seeking an IBM zSeries Hardware Specialist for a contract, fully remote position based out of Detroit, Michigan. The role supports the installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and 24x7x365 on-call support of IBM zSeries mainframe hardware and related storage, networking, and peripheral systems, including Cisco FICON, ACI, and mainframe cable infrastructure. Responsibilities also include hardware modernization, disaster recovery planning, data center transitions, and coordination with storage, software, network, operations, and facilities teams. The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, hands-on IBM mainframe and hardware configuration experience, networking knowledge, and availability for off-hours support. The contract pays $65.00 per hour and is anticipated to close on October 2, 2026.
