Description
The Mainframe System Programmer will perform z/OS system programming, configuration, installation, and maintenance using SMP/E and IBM and Broadcom software. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining vendor and ISV software, executing z/OS OS upgrades and RSU maintenance through z/OSMF workflows, architecting complex z/OS and third-party environments, supporting standardization and new feature implementations, and providing z/OS perspective support for storage, performance, capacity, security, networking, and operating procedures. The role also involves troubleshooting, technical decision-making, process improvements, and collaboration with application support teams and internal customers.
