Description
Thiess is hiring a full-time Maintenance Leading Hand at its Caval Ridge mine in Queensland. The role leads and supervises a maintenance crew, performs servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on Caterpillar, Liebherr, and Komatsu mining equipment, coordinates maintenance activities, manages parts requirements, and provides coverage for the Maintenance Supervisor. The 7/7 roster includes 12.5-hour day and night shifts, with flights from Brisbane and BIBO options from Mackay and Townsville. Applicants need current G1, G8, G9 Supervisor Competencies and G2, a relevant Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle trade qualification, and experience with mining equipment, maintenance, breakdown repairs, diagnostics, JDE, OEM systems, and oil analysis.
