The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, and installs electrical drives, controls, power distribution, pneumatic instrumentation, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include PLC and drive replacement, control-panel construction, preventive maintenance, equipment diagnostics, safety compliance, inventory management, work-order documentation, and training apprentice E & I technicians. The role requires a high school diploma and five years of industrial experience, with electrical or electro-mechanical technical training and industrial experience preferred; it is non-exempt hourly and involves a 12-hour shift with physical lifting and climbing requirements.
