Description
The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep for county buildings and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, flooring, painting, and furniture work. The role uses a computerized maintenance management system, responds to service requests, maintains tools and safety procedures, and may work outdoors, indoors, in inclement weather, and around a jail facility. A high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver license, physical ability to perform medium-to-heavy work, and the ability to work independently are required; prior related experience is preferred.
