Description
The Maintenance Operator performs skilled, semi-skilled, technical, and manual work rebuilding and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, valves, belt presses, mixers, filters, chlorination systems, lift stations, wells, and gates. The role also troubleshoots electrical systems from 110 to 12,470 volts and direct current voltages, repairs HVAC systems, operates heavy equipment and vehicles, and performs building and grounds maintenance. Emergency and after-hours response are required. A high school diploma or GED is required; mechanical, electrical, HVAC, building-trade, or equipment-maintenance training is preferred, along with one to two years of relevant experience, basic mathematical and computer-controlled-systems knowledge, and a valid Kansas Commercial Driver’s License.
