Description

Howmet Aerospace is hiring a Maintenance Reliability Manager for its Howmet Wheel Systems business unit in Cleveland, Ohio. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the role leads maintenance resources, contractors, and service providers; develops reliability and preventive maintenance programs; improves equipment availability, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR; and coaches maintenance personnel. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or at least 10 years of heavy-industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, along with knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and PLC schematics. It is subject to ITAR and requires U.S. person status, with work split between office, shop-floor, and outdoor areas and availability for on-call and domestic and international travel.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
Required Previous Experiences: At least 10 years of maintenance experience in a heavy-industrial manufacturing environment
Experience managing maintenance resources in a manufacturing environment
Experience working in a unionized environment
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining preventative maintenance programs
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience leading teams and delivering results in an operations environment
Proficiency managing departmental finances, controlling costs, and meeting budget expectations
Experience in the forging or metalworking industry
Knowledge of maintenance and engineering practices
Effective communication, delegation, and delivery management
Interpersonal skills for motivating and influencing others
Problem-solving, systems thinking, project management, and team-building abilities
Proactive ownership of maintenance staffing and apprenticeship development
