Academy Bus is hiring a full-time Maintenance Supervisor for its new Perth Amboy, New Jersey diesel bus garage. The role supervises and mentors mechanics, assigns and prioritizes maintenance work, troubleshoots diesel engines and related systems, coordinates road calls, oversees inspections and preventative maintenance, maintains records, and ensures safe garage operations. The position is on the 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. third shift and pays $85,000 annually plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Applicants need at least seven years of diesel engine and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience, prior supervisory or lead mechanic experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to perform hands-on mechanical work and use diagnostic and testing equipment.
