Description
The Maintenance Department Manager leads the physical condition, resident service, maintenance operations, turnovers, grounds, safety, budgeting, and service contracts of an apartment community. The role supervises maintenance technicians, apprentices, and porters; resolves complex resident issues; responds to emergencies; and provides training. It requires at least three years of maintenance technician or applicable experience, a high school diploma or GED, extensive knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting, EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal certification, and the ability to lead and manage a team. The position pays $30 to $33 per hour and includes health, dental, vision, paid leave, retirement matching, and other benefits.
