Description
The Maintenance Tech B is a trainee maintenance technician who works under close supervision to learn maintenance fundamentals, including TPM, preventive maintenance, routine and emergency work orders, calibration, and equipment repair. Responsibilities include monitoring HVAC and chilled-water systems, servicing batteries and lift trucks, performing fire and compressed-air checks, reading schematics, using test equipment, diagnosing PLC, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and assisting senior technicians. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, vocational or technical school training, basic electricity and PLC knowledge, and the ability to lift at least 25 pounds and operate a certified lift truck. The position is intended as a 1–2-year training pathway to the Multi/Craft Senior Maintenance Technician level.
