Description
The Power Production Worker operates and maintains hydroelectric generating station equipment, including main and auxiliary machinery, low-voltage electrical systems, dams, powerhouses, gates, fish passage facilities, trashracks, and penstocks. The role performs predictive, preventive, and reactive maintenance, switching and tagging, reporting, contractor support, and on-the-job training, with occasional temporary lead-worker duties. It is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and requires a high school diploma or GED, related experience, a Maine driver’s license, physical and drug and alcohol testing, and successful completion of the Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program. The budget is $36.02 per hour under the CBA.
