Description
The Maintenance Technician/Hydro Technician will report to the Operations Manager and perform hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and high-voltage maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of turbine, generator, transmission, distribution, and related equipment at Brookfield hydroelectric generation stations. The role includes gate changes, unit start-stop operations, equipment monitoring, emergency response, contractor monitoring, and compliance with HSSE and operational procedures. The primary reporting location is Winslow, Maine, with overtime, on-call, and after-hours availability required. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and stay overnight are required; experience with hydro turbine systems, industrial electrical systems, PLC programming, and technical drawings is preferred. The pay rate is $27-$36 per hour.
